COMPETITION DESCRIPTION
With Easter being all about chocolate, the Easter Bunny, in conjunction with Narelle Wynter (author of I’d Rather Eat Chocolate) are searching high and low for the best chocolatey-vegetable recipes.
You can create your own recipe, or adapt an existing recipe (please acknowledge the source). An adult may help you write it down, and you can illustrate your recipe OR take a photo of you with your completed dish. Each recipe must feature at least one vegetable and chocolate/cocoa/cacao.
COMPETITION ENTRY FORM
Prizes will be awarded to first and second places.
These prizes consist of:
- Signed copy of I’d Rather Eat Chocolate hardcover book
- Sturdy canvas child-sized veggie shopping tote bag
- Montessori Mates Mini Chef Kids Cooking Kitchen Utensils set and Mini Chef Apron and Hat

- Getting children to draw and write about their favourite vegetables
- Memory re-call – eg. which animal ate which veggie; which veggie resulted in which characteristic; sentence completion tasks
Health
- Exploring healthy foods – why are they healthy; researching recipes featuring specific vegetables (can also use the ones provided in the story); creating their own recipes; discussing what makes foods healthy vs not-so-healthy
- Exploring outdoor activities children like to engage in and why
